Versailles Palace / Château de Versailles
Tots City Guide highly recommends La Flottille – it is THE restaurants to eat with young kids when visiting Versailles Palace as it’s literally in the gardens, just a hop and a skip from the beautiful Grand Canal (great for duck watching). This place is huge, authentic French brasserie with 1900s décor. They are very welcoming to tourists and families and offer highchairs and have a (small baby change).

Right at the far edges of the palace gardens, Tots City Guide recommends this family-friendly hotel and restaurant. There are toys and colouring on hand for kids. Kiddie menu and view of the small planes from the airport next door keeps everyone entertained. The hotel host a kid-friendly brunch on Sundays, with kiddie activities, play room and special brunch menu
On Saturdays its currently quiet (maybe because the restaurant outside area is currently under construction).
High chairs and baby change in toilet

Kid friendly restaurants near Versailles palace: Sept Lieux Relaxed day-to-night bar with street food available during lunctime and dinnertime. Free shows for kiddies one Sunday every month – keep an eye here for this month’s programme.
Notre Dame de Versailles
Versailles Notre Dame market is a fun, buzzy place to take kids. Top picks here are:

Positive Déli inside the Halles Du Marche – The best salad bar in town, perfect for picnics! (Find their sit-down out post on Rue Satory in Saint Louis). TIP: If you’re looking to picnic, head to Espace Ricard, just a 5 minute walk away.
Sit-in boulangeries
At the market itself, boulangeries are often a great shout as they are a much more affordable way to grab lunch or a coffee. Top picks are these two locations where you can sit down: Antoinette Boulangerie (Versailles), a great place to people watch with tables to sit outside and grab a quick drink or lunch – lots of locals like to come here with their babies and toddlers.

And this location, in Notre Dame, about a 5 minute walk from the market is this popular boulangerie Bigot, although it’s not the most kid friendly place on the planet (FYI toilets are tiny and no baby change, but hey what’s new in France!). But they have seats! And, come Easter time and Christmas they have some really exceptional patisseries and chocolate sculptures to gawk at (see above).

Saint Louis
Cannot rave enough about Positive Deli Satory, where they serve bontiful plates of healthy, delicious looking salads, even a fussy toddler may be tempted to try. They also have chicken/ falafel wraps and sweet potato chips if you need to play it safer. With easy buggy access and a large toilet. Only downsides, eating outside it’s a bit tight for space with a buggy.
Porchfontaine
You may not think to come out this way as a tourist, but it’s so worth the trip when it comes to family friendly restaurants in Versailles.
Tots City Guide recommends Restaurant La Clairière (Versailles) , situated in the middle of Versailles Poney Club, The restarutside terrace overlooking horse show jumping practise – the kids will be so entranced by the show jumping horses so you’ll actually be able to enjoy your meal.
