2. Musée de l’Orangerie – Family Room
Not many parents know about the family room at Musée de l’Orangerie either. Accessible all year. The room is inspired by the painting Nymphéas by Claude Monet, and also nods to his famous garden in Giverny, France, with aquatic motifs, tables inspired by water lilies and benches with cushions forming ripples. The cushions are no doubt going to be the biggest hit with any energetic 2 year old. Bring the kids to play while you tag team with your partner / friends / the grandparents for a quick spin around the gallery kid-free.
Good to know: Buggies are allowed right up the the family room but you’ll need to leave them when you go into the room

3. Atelier des Lumières – Interactive Kids’ Room
This interactive kids’ room Atelier des Enfants is included with your ticket at Atelier des Lumieres. Themed on the current featured artist at Atelier des Lumieres – right now there’s two very different themes: Renaissance: Da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo and also: Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs. Each child can choose a themed template they can colour in. They then scan their drawing, which is then projected life-size onto the walls (how cool is that?!).
Important to note: Strollers are prohibited inside the viewing space for safety reasons. It’s recommend to bring a baby carrier if possible.
