1. The Louvre – The Studio

It’s a little know secret that Paris’ The Louvre has a kid-friendly space to keep children happy while you soak up the museum! The Studio is a place where children can be creative through colouring, drawing and more.

There are kid activities at The Louvre too, including:

2. Musée de l’Orangerie – Family room

Not many parents know about the family room at Musée de l’Orangerie either. Accessible all year. The room is inspired by the painting Nymphéas by Claude Monet, and also nods to his famous garden in Giverny, France, with aquatic motifs, tables inspired by water lilies and benches with cushions forming ripples. The cushions are no doubt going to be the biggest hit with any energetic 2 year old. Bring the kids to play while you tag team with your partner or friends for a quick spin around the gallery kid-free.

3. Atelier des Lumières – Interactive kids’ room

This interactive kids’ room Atelier des Enfants is included with your ticket at Atelier des Lumieres. Themed on the current featured artist at Atelier des Lumieres – right now it’s  Douanier Rousseau, bringing to life the jungle animals featured in his paintings. Animal patterns are provided, allowing each child to personalise the animals by colouring them as they wish. They then scan their drawing, which is then projected life-size onto the walls.

Important to note: Strollers are prohibited inside the viewing space for safety reasons.It’s recommend to bring a baby carrier if possible.

4. Fondation Louis Vuitton – kiddie tours and workshops

The Fondation Louis Vuitton is a fn building to wander around with kids – there’s a roof where you can see great views of the Paris skyline. But best news for the kids, the entrance fee to Jardin D’Acclimatation (a huge fairground right next door) is included for free as part of your ticket.

5. Le Musée en Herbe – an art museum for kids

Le Musée en Herbe is a modern art gallery dedicated to children, (but suitable for all ages, the museum claims it’s up to ages 103..). Aiming to make art approachable and fun. There are also kid workshops and baby tours available too, where your children can make their own creations while exploring the museum see the Musee en Herbe website for more.

6. *SEASONAL* Atelier Rodin (Musée Rodin) (event reopens SPRING 2026)

This interactive children’s art workshop space allows kids to explore their creativity through sculpture and tactile art activities, along with a dedicated, calm space to relax and read art-related books.

7. *SEASONAL* Musée d’Orsay – family room (event reopens during summer and some other school holiday dates)

During many school holidays, the Musée d’Orsay’s ornate Grand Salle des Fêtes is transformed into a huge, imaginative play and discovery space for kids. There are stations to be creative, with sculpture, drawing and more, along with a cushion abundant reading area with teepees to cosy up in. Then there are corners with boxes full of toys and activities, you could spend the whole day here!

8. Musée de l’Homme *WATCH THIS SPACE **Currently closed for maintenance*

*Not the space is currently closed for maintenance* Enjoy this 120 m² family space within Musée de l’Homme -completely dedicated to kiddies. Here children can learn at their own pace about the four prehistoric families: Sapiens, Neanderthal, Erectus, and Australopithecus through interactive games, obstacles and activities, for example – in the ice age, children are invited to build a shelter and dress like Neanderthals!

Our ‘tots’ top pick!! This new outdoor modern art museum is a great way to introduce little ones to art, with a beautiful (although expensive) alfresco restaurant overlooking the perfectly formed man-made hexagonal lake, interactive sculptures to discover and a hidden forest playground.

TIP: The garden is free to visit during the week!
