Best Things to Do Outside in Paris with Kids Under 6: Parks, Playgrounds & Family Activities

Paris is great when it comes to fun outdoor family activities — you just need to know where to go. This guide focuses on the best outdoor things to do in Paris with babies, toddlers and young kids, including playgrounds, splash parks, gardens, carousels and stroller-friendly walks.

☔ Rain-safe backup: There are cafes and restuarants dotted around the park, as well as shows (although these do come at an extra cost)

🍼 Stroller-friendly: Yes, this is the perfect place to explore with a buggy in Paris. The whole area is flat, with paths throughout the park.

🚻 Toilets/baby change: Yes, there are many toilets and facilities throughout the park

👶 Best age: From 2 years

⏱️ Time needed: A whole day – there’s so much to do here

🍽️ Nearby café/snacks: Cafes and restaurants all over the park, but they are expensive and the food is not amazing, recommend bringing your own picnic and snacks.

😴 Nap-friendly: Yes, there are loads of quieter areas to explore.

PARENT MUST KNOW: Bring trainers not sandals

☔ Rain-safe backup nearby: Usually these parks offer very little indoor space

👶 Best age: 3+ (check age restrictions at your park of choice)

⏱️ Time needed: Slots are usually from 1-2 hours. Bring a picnic and make a day of it
