Little Villette invites families to explore the forest using LEGO® (6 yrs+) and DUPLO® bricks (3 yrs+). Children can move through playful spaces inspired by nature, from small groves to tropical forests. See below, there’s also a FREE ‘forest’ themed cinema event happening here too over the weekend!

Cinema for little people! With short and sweet screenings, This weekend it’s themed around La forêt.

From 2 years old.

It’s the  spring and Easter holidays in Île-de-France, which means there’s tons of activities happening across the region. This weekend, the Museum of Air & Space is hosting an exhibition all types of aircraft—from airplanes to helicopters, rockets and more. Events happening here for small kids:

  • To Space and Beyond Show – about astronaut Gali, lost in space! (from 3 yrs)
  • Egg Squadron Challenge – treasure hunt (from 0 yrs). Different routes according to the age of the child.

Hippodromes around Paris regularly host family-friendly days out from April until September. These events are super cheap (often free or low prices entry) and packed with activities. This weekend head to this free ‘Family Horse Festival’, north of Paris which features activities for all ages, and of course, loads of cute horses and ponies, with an option to ride them too. They’ll also also be live jazz bands and food trucks for grown-up fun.

TIP: Advised to bring your own lunch or queue early (ideally pre 12pm for lunch as queues get very long by lunchtime!)

Rodin Workshop is an area tucked inside the infamous Rodin Museum, offering everything from baby spaces to kiddie workshops. Be sure to check it out if you’re in Paris between now and September!

The Au Paradis des Enfants re-opened its doors mid-February. On Spring days this fairground is a great place to head to, and even better, many rides are 1 euro a ride. Set in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Leisure Island there’s also loads more activities and green space to enjoy in the sunshine.

From 2 years+

This lively festival at Parc de Sceaux invites the whole family to enjoy the stunning cherry blossoms, and open space for picnics. they’ll also be visual performances like dance, drumming, and storytelling. Although bear in mind the activities (like origami or workshops) are aimed at older kids.

Les Petits Bateaux, Jardin des Tuileries

Les Voiliers du Luxembourg

Around since 1890, these little miniature sail boats have been sailed on the Jardin du Luxembourg basin. It’s a super fine and affordable very ‘Paris’ activity with kids under 6. Opening for the first time this year for the April holidays, from 1st April.

Costs €6 per boat for half an hour.

Les Petits Bateaux

Open from 4th April, Tots City Guide recommends this outside activity, perfect from kids from 2 years old. Located in the beautiful Tuileries gardens right by The Louvre. Read more about fun things to do with small kids in this area.

This new age exhibition for kids is a family-friendly, immersive sound journey celebrating retro video game music, bringing together play, creativity, and discovery. From 4 years old.

Tots City Guide recommends a day out with small kids at these beautiful Château gardens. April is the perfect time to visit at the tulips are starting to bloom, aim to come near mid April to see them at their finest!

TIPS: Hire a 4 person bike for €10, it makes it much easier to explore the vast grounds with a toddler or small child.

If you want to be one of the first to see it, it’s quite late but grab tickets asap and be prepared for high prices and a lot of crowds. If you want to AVOID the crowds, aim to book your Disneyland Paris trip for next year / in a few months when the fuss has died down a bit!

A farm themed pop-up event at this huge Paris department store,Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche sees the whole place transformed into a faux ferme, from a greenhouse, to chicken-coop displays and vegetable garden. Probably not worth crossing town for, but should be fun to wander around with little ones if you’re in the area (although be aware there are no no real animals here).

There are some parent-child workshops such as plant printing, cooking activities and creative crafts – although they come at a 60 price tag to attend. 

Paris can never have enough good baby cafes – open just shy of a month, be one of the first to check out Le Cocon cafe in Vincennes with a whole kiddie room to explore, with a teepee, toys and more!
